Night Ride departing from Cyclone Cycles every
Wednesday @ 7:30 p.m.
(weather permitting). We have a group of about a dozen people
that ride 25-35 miles at night on the city streets with
lights. To join us you need only to be able to ride your
good working order bike at a pace of at least 12-15 mph
for twenty five miles or so.We start at the shop and take
various routes such as the Braes Bayou path, through downtown,
over to the ship channel, Allen Parkway, Memorial Park ,etc..We
usually split into two groups with one going 18-20 mph and
the other going 14 mph or so. Blinking tail light and helmet
required. Headlights and tailights required. Most riders
have mountain bikes, hybrids,or cyclocross bikes. Some curb
hopping involved. Rent a light system for $4 - call ahead
